My first of many projects: repainting an old Sunday School-type chair.
I bought a $10 chair from a yard sale. (In my excitement to get started, I forgot to take a picture of the original brown chair.)
Spray painted chair with primer (much easier than painting w/ a brush!!) Then, we spray painted a turquoise gloss paint over top.
Next, we painted the details. Painting with painters tape made the stripes easier to paint. For the letters, I printed the saying off the computer. Then, I taped it in place & traced over the letters with a ball point pen. When I was finished, I peeled it off to see an outline of the letters in the paint. Because my hand isn't the steadiest, I used a paint pen to trace the letters.
Ta-DA! Finished "Thinking Chair" (aka Time Out Chair)
All I need to do yet is spray paint a sealer & donate to my kids' silent auction.
